DARK SKIES YOGA 2025

Join myself and The Root Project to embark upon on a mini outdoor yoga adventure this Autumn as part of the Exmoor National Park Dark Skies Festival.

DARK SKIES YOGA WITH MOORYOGA & THE ROOT PROJECT ~ REWILD & RECONNECT UNDER THE DARK SKIES OF EXMOOR NATIONAL PARK.

A chance to connect with nature, rewild yourself and embark upon a 'Dark Skies Yoga' adventure in the heart of Exmoor. On arrival we will enjoy kombucha and a light snack before we take a short walk through the meadow where we will gather together for some yoga under the stars. We will then connect together around a fire to enjoy some heart-warming chai tea, spicy pumpkin soup and homemade sourdough. All food and drink made from ingredients locally sourced and foraged from the land around us. These evenings promise to be a truly magical experience ~ we can't wait to share them with you!

EARTH CIRCLES

Following the wheel of the year these earth circles are a chance to pause and take some time to explore how we can connect more to natures seasons and cycles.

We will gather together - a safe space in which to feel nourished and held. It will be a time to connect, share and inspire one another.

We will arrive and settle in through a grounding and heart opening nature meditation followed by some gentle yoga. We will then connect to the earth and discuss living seasonally (seasonal rituals and wellbeing) and there will be time to sit and chat, journal and set intentions and enjoy spicy chai and a seasonal treat!

We will close the circle with a mini Yoga Nidra meditation.

MONTHLY SOUND BATHS

Join Karen Vogelin for a deeply relaxing Sound Bath in the cosy Mooryoga Studio. A sound bath is a wonderful meditative practice involving immersing yourself in the healing sounds of the gong and the crystal bowls. The vibrations from the gong and crystal bowls are designed to harmonise the body and mind to promote a state of deep relaxation. Sound baths can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and enhance mood.

‘EASY LIKE SUNDAY’

A monthly Yin Yang 90 minute yoga class. This class that incorporates more energising ‘yang’ sequences and flows with gentle, more passive, relaxing ‘yin’ holds. Finishing with a lovely long Savasana!

This class is followed by an optional brunch in Charlie Fridays Cafe, Lynton (this is not included in the price of the class).

‘YOGA FOR STRENGTH

A monthly 90min alignment based strong yoga class that will help build strength and deepen your asana practice. We will be looking to hold postures for longer to engage muscles and build strength, helping to develop stability and core strength. This will be a strong class but everybody is welcome - adjustments and modifications will be made throughout the class. Remember it’s your body and your yoga!

Spaces will be limited - booking essential.

FULL MOON CANDLELIT YIN YOGA & YOGA NIDRA

Join me for a relaxing evening of candlelit Yin Yoga followed by a deeply healing guided Yoga Nidra Meditation. We will gather next to a cosy fire under Januarys Wolf Moon - a great time to release and let go and find some much needed clarity and space for the coming year.

Followed by Spicy Chai and snacks and a chance to sit and chat.

‘A DEEPLY HEALING YOGIC JOURNEY’

The next event will be announced soon!

Join Karen Vogelin and myself under the Full Moon for a deeply healing meditative yogic journey through breathwork, gentle movement, yoga nidra and a chakra singing bowl sound massage. A beautiful evening That will give you the chance to rest, restore, release what is no longer serving you and reset the body, mind and soul.

The evening will start with some seated breath work to arrive and settle. Then we will open the nadis (energietic pathways in the body) through some gentle embodied movement which will lead into a guided Yoga Nidra Meditation allowing you to completely let go and relax followed by a deeply healing chakra singing bowl massage.

Yoga Nidra is known to improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, enhance cognitive function and increase self awareness.

In a sound massage the sounds and vibrations from the chakra bowls act as a gentle massage of the soul, helping you to feel calmer. The practice also relaxes the muscles in the body as well as relaxing the mind, improves sleep, helps with pain relief and reduces anxiety. The evening will involve some (optional) hands on connection, use of aromatherapy oils and placement of the bowls on your body.

We will close with a cacao ceremony, time to share our experiences and enjoy a light snack.
